Slow Desktop Computers - Update

We apologize for the continued slow computer problem that is impacting users across the district. Resolving this issue is our department’s number one priority.
Today, we are dedicating even more resources that should help us resolve the issue more quickly. We have identified at least 3 different contributing factors, and are running tests to develop a universal fix. We will apply that repair as soon as it is ready.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this issue has caused at this important time of the school year.
Technology is aware that some staff are experiencing very slow performance on desktops. The problem has been identified as an issue with some operating system settings. It is in no way related to our network, internet speed or the new phone system.
We are testing out a fix now that has proven successful on a handful of computers. Once we finalize the testing (hopefully in the next day or two) and make sure this completely repairs the speed issue, we will push it out to all desktops.
